Three Ingredient Vegan Gummy Bears

Ingredients
  

Liquid Base
  • 1 cup fruit juice (apple, orange, or berry) You can also use coconut water or herbal tea.
Thickener
  • 2 teaspoons Agar Agar powder This seaweed-based thickener is key for firmness.
Sweetener
  • 2-3 tablespoons sweetener (sugar, maple syrup, or agave) You can use stevia or a low-calorie sweetener if preferred.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Pour your chosen fruit juice into a medium saucepan.
  2. Stir in the Agar Agar powder into the juice while it is still cold.
Cooking
  1. Place the saucepan over medium heat and bring the mixture to a gentle boil while continuously stirring.
  2. Once it reaches a boil, add your sweetener and stir until fully dissolved.
Molding and Setting
  1. Remove the pot from heat and carefully pour the gummy mixture into bear-shaped molds.
  2. Allow the molds to cool at room temperature for about 10 minutes, then transfer them to the refrigerator for about 30 minutes to set.
  3. Once set, gently remove the gummy bears from the molds.

Notes

Experiment with flavors by using different fruit juices. Store in an airtight container for up to one week in the refrigerator or freeze for three months.
