  • 1 lb Smoky sausage, sliced
  • 1 cup Rice Uncooked
  • 1/2 cup Barbecue sauce Choose your favorite brand
  • 1 Onion, chopped
  • 1 Bell pepper, chopped Any color
  • 2 cloves Garlic, minced
  • 1 cup Chicken or vegetable broth For added flavor
  • 2 tablespoons Olive oil
  • to taste Salt
  • to taste Pepper

Method
 

Cooking
  1. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
  2. Add chopped onion and bell pepper; sauté until softened.
  3. Stir in minced garlic and cook for another minute.
  4. Add sliced sausage and cook until browned.
  5. Pour in the rice and mix well with the other ingredients.
  6. Add barbecue sauce and broth. Stir to combine.
  7. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  8. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat, cover, and simmer for 15 minutes or until rice is cooked.
  9. Fluff the rice with a fork before serving.

Notes
