Breading and Frying
  • 1 cup flour
  • 2 pcs eggs, beaten
  • ½ cup breadcrumbs

Method

Preparation

  2. In a bowl, mix the cream cheese, shredded cheddar, diced jalapeños, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper until well combined.
  3. Stuff the larger onion rings with the cheese mixture, pressing gently to ensure they’re filled.
  4. Set up a breading station: have flour in one bowl, beaten eggs in another, and breadcrumbs in a third.
Cooking
  1. Dip each stuffed onion ring into the flour, then the eggs, and finally coat with breadcrumbs.
  2. Heat oil in a pan over medium-high heat and fry the stuffed onion rings until golden brown, about 4-5 minutes on each side.
  3. Remove and drain on paper towels to remove excess oil.
Serving
  1. Plate them on a colorful serving dish to enhance visual appeal.
  2. Pair with a tangy dipping sauce like ranch or spicy aioli.
  3. Serve as an appetizer or a side dish, letting guests take as many as they like.
  4. Enjoy with refreshing beverages like iced tea or beer to balance the flavors.

Notes

For extra flavor, add herbs like chives or dill to the cheese mixture. Customize by incorporating different cheese, such as pepper jack for a spicier kick. Serve alongside fresh veggies to give a crunchy contrast to the soft filling.
