Preparation
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9x9 inch baking pan.
- In a saucepan, melt the butter over low heat.
- Remove from heat and stir in the sugar, eggs, and vanilla.
- Mix in the strawberry puree.
Combine Dry Ingredients & Bake
- In another bowl, combine the flour, cocoa powder, salt, and baking powder.
- Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture and stir until just combined.
- Fold in chocolate chips if using.
- Pour the batter into the prepared pan and smooth the top.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick comes out with a few moist crumbs.
- Let cool before cutting into squares and serving.
Notes
Serve warm or chilled. Enhance flavor with cinnamon or customize with nuts. Store in the refrigerator or freeze for later.
