Ingredients
  

Brownie Base
  • 1 cup strawberries, pureed Use fresh or thawed frozen strawberries.
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter Melted.
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/3 cup cocoa powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 cup chocolate chips Optional.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9x9 inch baking pan.
  2. In a saucepan, melt the butter over low heat.
  3. Remove from heat and stir in the sugar, eggs, and vanilla.
  4. Mix in the strawberry puree.
Combine Dry Ingredients & Bake
  1. In another bowl, combine the flour, cocoa powder, salt, and baking powder.
  2. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture and stir until just combined.
  3. Fold in chocolate chips if using.
  4. Pour the batter into the prepared pan and smooth the top.
  5. Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick comes out with a few moist crumbs.
  6. Let cool before cutting into squares and serving.

Notes

Serve warm or chilled. Enhance flavor with cinnamon or customize with nuts. Store in the refrigerator or freeze for later.
