Liquids/Dairy
  • ¼ cup butter Use unsalted for more control over seasoning.
  • ½ cup heavy cream Avoid boiling to maintain consistency.
  • 2 tbsp honey
Aromatics & Vegetables
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced Mince to release essential oils.
Optional Finishing Ingredients
  • fresh parsley (for garnish) Chop finely for even distribution.
Oil
  • 1 tbsp olive oil

Method

Preparation
  1. Boil salted water in a large pot. Add fettuccine and cook for about 8-10 minutes, until al dente. Drain and set aside, reserving a bit of pasta water.
Cooking Chicken
  1. In a large skillet over medium heat, add olive oil. Once hot, add the diced chicken. Season with Cajun seasoning, salt, and pepper. Cook for 6-8 minutes until browned and cooked through.
  2. Reduce heat to low and add minced garlic. Sauté for 1 minute until fragrant, being careful not to burn the garlic.
Making the Sauce
  1. Add butter to the skillet and melt. Pour in honey and heavy cream. Stir to combine and let simmer for 2-3 minutes until slightly thickened.
Combining
  1. Add the cooked fettuccine to the skillet. Toss everything together, allowing the pasta to soak up the sauce. If the sauce is too thick, add a splash of reserved pasta water.
  2. Taste for seasoning and adjust with salt, pepper, or Cajun seasoning as needed.
Serving
  1. Garnish with fresh parsley before serving.

Notes
