  • 3-4 pieces boneless, skinless chicken breasts Cut into uniform pieces for even cooking.
Aromatics
  • 4 cloves fresh garlic, minced Sauté to enhance flavor.
Liquids/Dairy
  • 4 cups low-sodium chicken broth Use as the base for the sauce.
  • 1 cup heavy cream Full-fat for a rich sauce.
  • 1 cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese Add just before serving.
Starch/Pasta
  • 1 cup orzo pasta Avoid overcooking for the best texture.
Seasoning/Spice Blend
  • 2 tsps mixed dried herbs (thyme, basil) Use a balanced blend for flavor.

Preparation
  1. Season the chicken breasts with salt and pepper, and place them in the slow cooker.
Add Aromatics
  1. Put the minced garlic over the chicken.
Pour in Liquids
  1. Add the chicken broth and heavy cream to the slow cooker, stirring gently to combine.
Incorporate Pasta
  1. After 3 hours of cooking, stir in the orzo and dried herbs. Cook for an additional hour.
Finish with Cheese
  1. Once the orzo is cooked, sprinkle the Parmesan on top and let it melt for about 10 minutes before serving.
Stir and Serve
  1. Gently stir the mixture to combine all ingredients right before serving.
