Ingredients
  

For the stuffing
  • 4 cups Cornbread, crumbled Use freshly baked cornbread.
  • 1 lb Browned sausage Use your choice of sausage.
  • 1 cup Onions, diced Sautéed until soft.
  • 1 cup Celery, diced Sautéed until soft.
  • 2 cups Broth Use chicken or vegetable broth.
  • 2 tbsp Herbs (such as sage or thyme) Fresh or dried herbs can be used.
  • 1/2 cup Butter Melted for sautéing.
  • 1 tbsp Salt Adjust for taste.
  • 1 tbsp Pepper Adjust for taste.

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a skillet, melt butter over medium heat, then add diced onions and celery. Cook until soft (about 5 minutes).
  3. In a large bowl, crumble the cornbread and add browned sausage, sautéed vegetables, herbs, salt, and pepper.
  4. Stir in enough broth to moisten the mixture.
  5. Transfer the stuffing into a greased baking dish and bake for 30-40 minutes until the top is crispy and golden.
  6. Serve warm as a side dish.

Notes

For added flavor, consider adding a splash of apple cider or dried cranberries. You can substitute sausage based on dietary needs and serve with gravy or cranberry sauce.
