  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 4 tablespoons butter
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped

Method

Preparation
  1. In a large bowl, combine ground beef, breadcrumbs, egg, onion, garlic, Worcestershire sauce, salt, pepper, and thyme. Mix until well combined and form into meatballs.
  2. In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add meatballs and cook until browned on all sides. Remove and set aside.
  3. In the same skillet, add sliced onion and minced garlic. Sauté until softened.
Cooking
  1. Pour in beef broth and Worcestershire sauce. Bring to a simmer, then stir in the cornstarch mixture to thicken. Season with salt and pepper.
  2. Return meatballs to the skillet and simmer until cooked through.
  3. Meanwhile, cook potatoes in boiling salted water until tender. Drain and return to pot.
  4. Add minced garlic, milk, butter, salt, and pepper to the potatoes. Mash until creamy and stir in chopped parsley.

Notes

Enhance flavor by adding herbs like rosemary or thyme to the meatball mixture. Customize by mixing in different cheeses or spices into the meatballs. For a fun twist, serve the meal inside a bread bowl!
