Ingredients
  

Main Protein
  • 4 pieces Boneless, skinless chicken breasts Trim any excess fat. Thighs can be used for additional flavor.
Seasoning/Spice Blend
  • 1 packet Ranch seasoning mix Delivers classic ranch flavors; you can create your own with dried herbs.
Liquids/Dairy
  • 1 can (10.5 oz) Cream of chicken soup Adds creaminess; substitute with cream of mushroom or tomato soup if needed.
Aromatics & Vegetables
  • 0.5 teaspoon Garlic powder
  • 0.5 teaspoon Onion powder Fresh minced garlic and onion can enhance flavor.
Optional Finishing Ingredients
  • 1 cup Cheddar cheese, shredded Add during the last 30 minutes for a gooey texture.
  • 0.5 cup Sour cream Stir in before serving.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Rinse the chicken breasts and pat them dry with a paper towel.
  2. Optionally, heat olive oil in a pan over medium-high heat and sear the chicken for about 2 minutes on each side.
Cooking
  1. Place the chicken in the crock pot.
  2. In a bowl, mix ranch seasoning, cream of chicken soup, garlic powder, onion powder, and black pepper.
  3. Pour the mixture over the chicken.
  4. Cover and cook on low for 6 hours or until the chicken is tender.
  5. Shred the chicken in the pot using two forks.
  6. Stir in the sour cream and optional cheese, allowing it to melt for an additional 30 minutes.
Serving
  1. Spoon the chicken onto plates and garnish with fresh parsley.

Notes

Marinating chicken in ranch seasoning overnight enhances flavor. Customize by adding vegetables like bell peppers or carrots. Serve with warm, crusty bread.
