  • 2 pounds pork Cut into chunks
  • 1 cup red chile sauce Prepared or homemade
  • 2 cans hominy Drained and rinsed
Toppings
  • 2 cups cabbage Shredded
  • 1 cup radishes Sliced
  • 2 pieces lime Cut into wedges for serving

Method
 

Cooking
  1. In a large pot, combine the pork with water and bring to a boil.
  2. Reduce heat and simmer until the pork is tender (about 1 hour).
  3. In a separate pan, prepare the red chile sauce and mix it into the pot with the pork.
  4. Add hominy and continue to simmer for another 30 minutes.
  5. Serve hot, garnished with fresh cabbage, radishes, and lime.

Notes

Use fresh herbs like cilantro for an extra flavor boost. Customize toppings with avocado or jalapeƱos for a spicy kick. This dish can be made ahead of time for better flavor melding.
