Preparation
- Spread butter on one side of each slice of sourdough bread.
- On the unbuttered side of one slice, spread a layer of pesto.
- Place a slice of cheddar cheese on top of the pesto.
- Place the second slice of bread on top, buttered side facing out.
Cooking
- Heat a skillet over medium heat and place the sandwich in the skillet.
- Cook until the bread is golden brown and the cheese is melted, about 3-4 minutes per side.
- Remove from skillet, slice, and enjoy!
Notes
For added flavor, consider adding garlic powder or red pepper flakes to the pesto. Customize with ingredients like spinach or thinly sliced tomatoes.
