  • 1 pound Italian sausage Fresh or pre-cooked
  • 1 cup heavy cream For creaminess
  • 1 cup chicken or vegetable broth Adds depth
  • 1 cup spinach Can substitute with other greens
  • 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese Grate fresh for best flavor
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil For cooking the sausage
  • 2 cloves garlic (minced) Adds flavor

Method
 

Cooking
  1. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
  2. Add the sliced or crumbled sausage and cook for about 5-7 minutes until browned and cooked through.
  3. Add minced garlic and cook for another minute until fragrant.
  4. Add the gnocchi and broth to the skillet, stirring well to combine, then bring to a gentle boil.
  5. Cook for about 3-5 minutes until the gnocchi starts to float.
  6. Lower the heat, gradually add the heavy cream, stirring to combine, and cook for another 2-3 minutes until heated through.
  7. Fold in the spinach until wilted, and stir in the Parmesan cheese until melted.
  8. Season with salt and pepper to taste, then serve hot, garnished with more cheese if desired.

Notes

For an extra flavor boost, consider adding Italian herbs. The dish can be made vegetarian by omitting sausage, or you can customize it with additional vegetables.
