  • 2 large boneless, skinless chicken breasts, diced

  • 2 cups penne pasta (uncooked)
  • 1.5 cups water or chicken broth
For the Sauce
  • 0.75 cup BBQ sauce (preferably smoky variety)
  • 2 tablespoons honey
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
For Garnish (Optional)
  • to taste chopped parsley or green onion for garnish

Preparation
  1. Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
  2. Add the diced chicken to the skillet, season with salt, pepper, and smoked paprika. Cook until browned and cooked through, about 5-7 minutes.
Cooking
  1. Stir in the penne pasta along with the water or chicken broth. Bring to a boil.
  2. Once boiling, reduce the heat, cover, and simmer for about 10 minutes, or until the pasta is cooked al dente.
  3. In a small bowl, mix the BBQ sauce, honey, Worcestershire sauce, and garlic powder. Pour over the chicken and pasta.
  4. Stir well and cook for an additional 2-3 minutes until everything is heated and well combined.
  5. Garnish with chopped parsley or green onion if desired. Serve hot and enjoy!

Notes

Enhance flavors by marinating the chicken in BBQ sauce a few hours before cooking. Customize with vegetables like bell peppers or corn added to the pan. Serve with a sprinkle of cheese on top for extra richness.
