Ingredients

Main Protein
  • 1.5 lbs 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts Season with salt and pepper before cooking.
Starch/Pasta
  • 8 oz egg noodles Cook according to package instructions, about 6-8 minutes.
Liquids/Dairy
  • 2 cups low-sodium chicken broth Essential for flavor; use low-sodium to control salt.
  • 4 tbsp real butter Use for cooking the chicken and garlic.
Aromatics & Vegetables
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced Provides deep, savory flavor.
  • ¼ cup fresh parsley, chopped Adds brightness and freshness.
Seasoning/Spice Blend
  • Salt and pepper to taste Adjust according to personal preference.

Method

Cooking
  1. Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add a tablespoon of butter.
  2. Season the chicken breasts with salt and pepper, then place them in the skillet. Cook for about 5-6 minutes on each side until golden brown and cooked through, checking for an internal temperature of 165°F.
  3. Once cooked, remove the chicken from the pan and set aside.
  4. In the same skillet, reduce heat to medium, add the remaining butter, and sauté minced garlic for about 1 minute until fragrant.
  5. Pour in the chicken broth, using a wooden spoon to scrape up any browned bits from the bottom of the pan.
  6. Bring the broth to a gentle boil, then stir in egg noodles and return the chicken to the pan. Cover and simmer for about 8-10 minutes or until the noodles are cooked and most of the broth is absorbed.
  7. Once noodles are tender, stir in chopped parsley. Taste and adjust seasoning with salt and pepper if needed.
  8. Remove the pan from heat and serve hot.

Notes

Serve directly from the pan or plate individually. Pair with a simple green salad or steamed vegetables for a fresh side. Adding a splash of lemon juice before serving can enhance flavor, and consider tossing in favorite vegetables.
