Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a loaf pan.
  2. In a mixing bowl, cream the softened butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
  3. Add the eggs, one at a time, mixing well after each addition.
  4. In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, matcha powder, and salt.
  5. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, alternating with the milk and mixing well.
  6. Stir in the vanilla extract until combined.
Baking
  1. Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan and smooth the top.
  2. Bake for 45 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
  3. Allow the cake to cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then transfer it to a wire rack to cool completely.

Notes

Dust with powdered sugar or drizzle with a simple glaze for serving. Pair with fresh berries or whipped cream. Can customize with extracts or mix-ins like chocolate chips.
