  • 1 packet taco seasoning Use store-bought or homemade.
  • 1 pound ground beef Can substitute with ground turkey or chicken.
  • ½ cup salsa Choose your favorite type.
  • 8 ounces cream cheese Soften before using.
  • 2 tablespoons melted butter
  • 1 cup shredded Cheddar cheese Can substitute with Monterey Jack or pepper jack.
  • 12 pieces 6-inch tortillas Use corn or flour tortillas.

  1. In a large skillet over medium heat, brown the ground beef for about 5-7 minutes.
  2. Stir in the taco seasoning, adding ½ cup of water, and let it simmer for another 5 minutes.
  3. Reduce the heat to low and stir in the softened cream cheese until fully melted and mixed.
  4. Warm tortillas in a dry skillet or microwave briefly to make them pliable.
  5. Spoon the beef mixture evenly onto the center of each tortilla, then fold them in half.
  6. Place the filled tacos on a baking sheet, top with shredded Cheddar cheese, and broil on high for 3-5 minutes.
  7. Remove from the oven, let cool for a minute, and serve warm.

Notes

Enhance flavor with lime juice and customize toppings to your liking. Serve with guacamole or a side salad.
