Ingredients
  

Main Protein
  • 4 pieces boneless, skinless chicken breasts Trim any fat and cut into even-sized pieces.
Seasoning/Spice Blend
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce Use light soy sauce for a milder taste.
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced Mince finely for maximum flavor.
  • 1 tablespoon ginger, grated Grate for maximum flavor release.
  • 1 tablespoon brown sugar Balances the salty soy sauce.
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil Use for a rich, nutty flavor.
  • to taste salt and pepper Adjust seasoning to preference.
Optional Finishing Ingredients
  • 2-3 cups of steamed rice and vegetables Use a mix of colorful vegetables.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Combine soy sauce, minced garlic, grated ginger, brown sugar, sesame oil, salt, and pepper in a bowl. Add chicken breasts and let marinate for at least 10 minutes.
Cooking
  1. Heat a drizzle of oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
  2. Add marinaded chicken breasts and cook for about 6-7 minutes on one side until golden brown. Flip and cook for another 6-7 minutes until fully cooked.
  3. Remove chicken from skillet and pour remaining marinade into the pan. Let simmer for 2-3 minutes to thicken.
  4. Return chicken to skillet, coat with sauce, and toss for 1 minute.
Serving
  1. Slice chicken diagonally and serve with rice and vegetables.

Notes

For extra flavor, marinate the chicken for longer. Customize vegetables as needed. Serve with fresh herbs for added freshness.
