Ingredients
  

For the Dough
  • cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tablespoon instant yeast
  • 2 teaspoons salt
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • cups warm water
  • 1 teaspoon sugar
For the Sauce
  • 1 can 15 oz tomato sauce
  • 2 tablespoons tomato paste
  • 1 teaspoon each dried oregano and basil
  • 2 cloves minced garlic
For Topping
  • 2-3 cups shredded mozzarella
  • ½ cup grated Parmesan
  • Toppings of choice about 1½ cups total

Method
 

  1. Make dough: Mix dry ingredients, add water and oil, knead 5-7 mins until elastic.
  2. First rise: Place in oiled bowl, cover, let rise 1-2 hours until doubled.
  3. Preheat oven: Set to 475°F with pizza stone/pan inside.
  4. Shape pizza: Punch down dough, stretch to 14-inch circle, form edge.
  5. Add toppings: Spread ½ cup sauce, add cheese and toppings (don't overload).
  6. Bake: 12-15 mins until crust is golden and cheese is bubbly.
  7. Rest: Let sit 2 minutes before slicing into 8-10 slices.
