For the Dough
- 3½ cups all-purpose flour
- 1 tablespoon instant yeast
- 2 teaspoons salt
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1¼ cups warm water
- 1 teaspoon sugar
For the Sauce
- 1 can 15 oz tomato sauce
- 2 tablespoons tomato paste
- 1 teaspoon each dried oregano and basil
- 2 cloves minced garlic
For Topping
- 2-3 cups shredded mozzarella
- ½ cup grated Parmesan
- Toppings of choice about 1½ cups total
Make dough: Mix dry ingredients, add water and oil, knead 5-7 mins until elastic.
First rise: Place in oiled bowl, cover, let rise 1-2 hours until doubled.
Preheat oven: Set to 475°F with pizza stone/pan inside.
Shape pizza: Punch down dough, stretch to 14-inch circle, form edge.
Add toppings: Spread ½ cup sauce, add cheese and toppings (don't overload).
Bake: 12-15 mins until crust is golden and cheese is bubbly.
Rest: Let sit 2 minutes before slicing into 8-10 slices.
