Preparation
- Preheat your oven to 450°F (232°C).
- Pat dry the chicken wings with a paper towel if they are moist.
- In a large bowl, add the potato starch, baking powder, garlic powder, onion powder, and paprika to the chicken wings. Toss to coat the wings evenly.
- Lightly spray some oil onto a parchment-lined sheet pan. Transfer the coated chicken wings to the sheet pan in a single layer. Spray the tops of the chicken with a little more oil.
Cooking
- Lower the oven temperature to 425°F (218°C) and bake the chicken wings for 35 to 40 minutes, flipping them halfway through and spraying a bit more oil on top.
- While the wings bake, combine the honey, lemon juice, lemon zest, minced garlic, butter, salt, and pepper in a small saucepan over medium heat. Stir and simmer the sauce for 3 to 5 minutes until everything is nicely blended. Save a small portion of the sauce for dipping.
- Once the wings are done, transfer them to a bowl and toss them to coat thoroughly with the honey lemon pepper sauce.
Notes
For an extra zing, add a dash of chili powder to the sauce. Customize the sauce by adding your favorite herbs or spices. Serve with a side of ranch or blue cheese dressing for a classic touch.
