Ingredients

Main Ingredients
  • 1 pound steak (e.g., flank or sirloin)
  • 2 bell peppers (any colors, sliced)
  • 1 onion (sliced)
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon fajita seasoning
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh cilantro (for garnish)
  • Lime wedges (for serving)

Method

Cooking
  1. Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
  2. Season the steak with salt, pepper, and fajita seasoning.
  3. Add the steak to the skillet and sear for about 4-5 minutes on each side, or until cooked to your liking.
  4. Remove the steak from the skillet and let it rest for a few minutes before slicing it thinly.
  5. In the same skillet, add sliced bell peppers and onion. Sauté for 5-7 minutes until slightly softened.
  6. Return the sliced steak to the skillet and toss everything together for a minute to warm through.
  7. Assemble the bowl by layering steak and veggies, then garnish with fresh cilantro and serve with lime wedges.

Notes

To enhance flavor, add smoked paprika. You can customize with different proteins like chicken or shrimp. Top with avocado or sour cream for creaminess.
