  • 4 pieces Hawaiian rolls
  • 1 cup shredded Monterey Jack cheese
  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter For spreading on the rolls

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat a non-stick skillet over medium heat.
  2. Spread butter on the outside of each Hawaiian roll.
  3. Open the Hawaiian rolls and add shredded Monterey Jack cheese. Optionally, layer with sliced tomatoes or bacon.
Cooking
  1. Place the assembled rolls in the skillet. Cook for about 4-5 minutes on one side until golden brown.
  2. Gently flip the rolls and cook the other side for another 4-5 minutes, until cheese melts.
  3. Remove from heat, let cool for a moment, then slice and enjoy!

Notes

Pair with fresh fruit or a light salad for a balanced meal. You can also experiment with different cheeses or serve with dipping sauces like tomato soup.
