- Pat the chicken breasts dry with paper towels.
- Mix the paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper in a bowl. Rub this mixture all over the chicken evenly.
Breading and Frying Chicken
- Set up breading stations: place the buttermilk in one bowl, flour in another, and breadcrumbs in the last.
- Dip each chicken breast in flour, coat in buttermilk, then cover with breadcrumbs.
- Heat butter in a skillet over medium heat and fry chicken for 5-7 minutes on each side until golden brown and cooked through.
Making French Toast
- In a clean bowl, whisk together eggs, milk, vanilla extract, and a pinch of salt.
- Heat a separate skillet, add butter, dip bread slices into the egg mixture, and cook for 2-3 minutes each side.
Assembly
- Take one slice of French toast, add a piece of chicken, and top with another slice of French toast.
- Drizzle with maple syrup, dust with powdered sugar, and add fresh fruit or whipped cream on the side.
