  • 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning
  • Salt and pepper, to taste

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a skillet over medium heat, cook the ground sausage until browned.
  3. Add the chopped bell pepper and onion, cooking until they are soft.
  4. Stir in the pizza sauce and Italian seasoning. Season with salt and pepper.
  5. In a greased baking dish, layer half of the sausage mixture.
  6. Sprinkle half of the mozzarella cheese on top.
  7. Repeat the layers with the remaining mixture and cheese.
  8. Bake for 30 minutes, or until the cheese is bubbling and golden.
  9. Let cool for a few minutes before serving.

Notes

For a spicy kick, add crushed red pepper flakes. Customize by mixing in your favorite vegetables. Serve with a side of garlic bread for an indulgent pairing.
