Preparation
- Preheat the air fryer to 360°F (182°C).
- Pat the chicken dry with paper towels.
- In a small bowl, mix together the olive oil, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, salt, and black pepper to create a seasoning rub.
- Rub the seasoning mixture all over the chicken, including under the skin for more flavor.
- If using, place lemon and fresh herbs inside the cavity of the chicken.
Cooking
- Place the chicken in the air fryer basket, breast side down.
- Cook for 30 minutes, then flip the chicken to breast side up and cook for an additional 15-20 minutes, or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C).
- Remove the chicken from the air fryer and let it rest for 10 minutes before carving.
- Serve and enjoy!
