Ingredients
  

Pasta Ingredients
  • 8 oz fettuccine or linguine
Shrimp Ingredients
  • 1 lb shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 2 tablespoons Cajun seasoning
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
Sauce Ingredients
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup chicken or vegetable broth
  • 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Chopped parsley for garnish

Method
 

Cooking the Pasta
  1. Cook pasta according to package instructions; drain and set aside.
Cooking Shrimp
  1. Add shrimp and Cajun seasoning; cook until shrimp are pink and opaque, about 2-3 minutes per side. Remove shrimp and set aside.
Making the Sauce
  1. In the same skillet, add garlic and sauté for 30 seconds.
  2. Pour in the broth and let it reduce for about 3 minutes.
  3. Lower the heat and stir in heavy cream and Parmesan cheese until smooth.
Combining Ingredients
  1. Add cooked pasta and shrimp back to the skillet; toss to combine.
  2. Season with salt and pepper, and garnish with chopped parsley before serving.

Notes

For extra flavor, add a squeeze of lemon juice just before serving. Customize the dish by adding vegetables like spinach or bell peppers for added nutrition. Serve it with crusty bread to soak up the delicious sauce.
