Ingredients
  

Main Protein
  • 1 lb Steak (Sirloin or Ribeye) Use tender cuts for the best flavor and texture. Grill to medium-rare.
Starch/Pasta
  • 20 oz Cheese Tortellini Boil until al dente, typically 3-5 minutes.
Seasoning/Spice Blend
  • 1 tsp Salt Adjust seasoning according to taste.
  • 1 tsp Black Pepper
  • 1 tsp Garlic Powder
  • 1 tsp Smoked Paprika
Liquids/Dairy
  • 1 cup Heavy Cream Provides a rich and creamy sauce.
  • ¾ cup Whole Milk Use half-and-half for a lighter option.
Aromatics & Vegetables
  • 4 tbsp Butter Sauté garlic until fragrant.
  • 5 cloves Garlic (minced) Do not overcook to prevent bitterness.
Optional Finishing Ingredients
  • cups Parmesan Add to the sauce for creaminess.
  • Parsley For garnish.
  • Red Pepper Flakes Optional, for heat.
  • Cracked Black Pepper For garnish.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Season the steak generously with salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and smoked paprika.
  2. Heat 2 tablespoons of olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
Cooking
  1. Add the seasoned steak and cook for about 4-5 minutes per side for medium-rare.
  2. Remove the steak and let it rest for a few minutes before slicing into strips.
  3. While the steak is resting, bring a pot of salted water to a boil.
  4. Add the cheese tortellini and cook according to package instructions until they float to the top, about 3-5 minutes.
  5. Drain the tortellini and set aside.
  6. In the same skillet, reduce heat to medium, add butter, and sauté minced garlic for 1-2 minutes until fragrant.
  7. Pour in heavy cream and whole milk, stirring to combine.
  8. Stir in Parmesan cheese into the creamy mixture and allow it to melt and thicken for 2-3 minutes.
  9. Add the cooked tortellini and sliced steak back to the skillet, tossing until well-coated with the sauce.
  10. Cook for an additional 1-2 minutes to warm everything through.
Serving
  1. Transfer the dish to serving plates and garnish with parsley, cracked black pepper, and red pepper flakes if desired.
