Steak
  • 1 lb steak (sirloin or ribeye) Sirloin is leaner; ribeye is more tender.

  • garlic powder To taste
  • smoked paprika To taste
  • 2 tbsp olive oil Essential for searing the steak.
Cream Sauce
  • 4 tbsp butter Creates a creamy sauce base.
  • 5 cloves garlic, minced Adds aromatic richness.
  • 1 cup heavy cream Contributes a velvety smoothness.
  • 3/4 cup whole milk Balances the richness.
  • 1 1/4 cups parmesan, shredded or freshly grated Brings a savory flavor.
  • parsley, chopped optional, brightens the dish.
  • red pepper flakes optional, for a spicy kick.
  • cracked black pepper optional garnish, elevates the flavor.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. In a large pot, boil water and cook the tortellini according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
  2. Season the steak with salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and smoked paprika. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat.
Cooking
  1. Add the steak to the skillet and cook to your preferred doneness, about 4-5 minutes per side. Remove and let it rest.
  2. In the same skillet, reduce heat to medium, add butter and minced garlic. Sauté until fragrant. Slowly pour in heavy cream and milk, stirring well.
  3. Stir in parmesan cheese until melted and the sauce is creamy.
  4. Add the cooked tortellini to the sauce, mixing to coat evenly. Slice the steak and place on top.
Serving
  1. Garnish with chopped parsley and red pepper flakes if desired.

Notes

For a stronger garlic flavor, consider adding more minced garlic to the sauce. Customize by adding your favorite vegetables, such as spinach or mushrooms. Serve in individual bowls for a cozy, restaurant-style experience.
