  • 2 pieces boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1 cup cottage cheese
  • 1 cup marinara sauce
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • to taste Salt
  • to taste Pepper
  • as needed Fresh basil for garnish

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Season the chicken breasts with salt, pepper, and Italian seasoning.
  3. Heat a skillet over medium heat and cook the chicken for about 5-7 minutes on each side until golden brown.
Assembly
  1. In a baking dish, spread half of the marinara sauce.
  2. Place the seared chicken on top of the sauce.
  3. Spoon the cottage cheese over each chicken breast.
  4. Top with the remaining marinara sauce and finish with mozzarella and Parmesan cheese.
Cooking
  1. Bake for 25 minutes until the cheese is bubbly and golden.
  2. Garnish with fresh basil before serving.

Notes
