Muffin Batter
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour Select the right muffin batter for fluffy muffins.
  • ½ cup granulated sugar
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ¾ cup milk Use plant-based for dairy-free option.
  • cup melted unsalted butter Ensure butter is cooled before mixing.
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Cinnamon Swirl Filling
  • cup packed brown sugar Use coconut sugar for a richer flavor.
  • 1 tablespoon ground cinnamon
  • 2 tablespoons melted unsalted butter
Vanilla Glaze
  • ½ cup powdered sugar
  • 1 tablespoon milk Try maple syrup for a different sweetness.
  • ½ teaspoon vanilla extract

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt.
  3. In another bowl, mix the milk, melted butter, egg, and vanilla extract.
  4. Combine both mixtures gently, avoiding overmixing.
Cinnamon Swirl Filling
  1. In a small bowl, mix together the brown sugar, cinnamon, and melted butter until you have a smooth paste.
Baking
  1. Line a muffin tin with paper liners.
  2. Fill each muffin cup halfway with the batter, then add a spoonful of the cinnamon swirl filling on top.
  3. Add more batter until the cups are three-quarters full.
  4. Use a toothpick or a knife to gently swirl the cinnamon filling into the batter.
  5. Bake for about 18-20 minutes, or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  6. Allow the muffins to cool for about 5 minutes in the tin, then transfer them to a wire rack.
  7. Drizzle with the vanilla glaze before serving.

Notes

For extra flavor, add a pinch of nutmeg. Customize with nuts or chocolate chips. Serve warm for the best taste.
