Preparation
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt.
- In another bowl, mix the milk, melted butter, egg, and vanilla extract.
- Combine both mixtures gently, avoiding overmixing.
Cinnamon Swirl Filling
- In a small bowl, mix together the brown sugar, cinnamon, and melted butter until you have a smooth paste.
Baking
- Line a muffin tin with paper liners.
- Fill each muffin cup halfway with the batter, then add a spoonful of the cinnamon swirl filling on top.
- Add more batter until the cups are three-quarters full.
- Use a toothpick or a knife to gently swirl the cinnamon filling into the batter.
- Bake for about 18-20 minutes, or until a toothpick comes out clean.
- Allow the muffins to cool for about 5 minutes in the tin, then transfer them to a wire rack.
- Drizzle with the vanilla glaze before serving.
Notes
For extra flavor, add a pinch of nutmeg. Customize with nuts or chocolate chips. Serve warm for the best taste.
