  • 1/2 cup Butter Melt before mixing; warm, not hot.
  • 1 cup Sugar Adjust to taste; brown sugar adds moisture.
  • 2 large Eggs Use at room temperature.
  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla Extract Use pure for best flavor.
  • 1 cup All-Purpose Flour Sift for accuracy; avoid overmixing.
  • 1/2 teaspoon Salt Kosher salt recommended.
Mix-Ins
  • 1 cup Fresh Strawberries Wash, hull, and chop into small pieces.
  • 1/2 cup Optional Chocolate Chips Try butterscotch or white chocolate.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Melt the butter in a medium bowl. Mix in sugar and eggs until creamy.
  3. Stir in vanilla extract and unsweetened cocoa powder until well blended.
  4. In a separate bowl, whisk together flour and salt, then gradually add to the wet mixture, stirring slowly.
  5. Fold in fresh strawberries and optional chocolate chips gently.
Baking
  1. Pour the brownie batter into a greased or lined baking pan.
  2. Bake for 25-30 minutes until a toothpick comes out mostly clean.
  3. Let cool in the pan for at least 10 minutes before cutting.
