  • 1 cup Granulated Sugar Don’t overuse, or the cookies may become too sweet.
  • 2 large Eggs Room temperature eggs help in better mixing.
  • 2 teaspoons Vanilla Extract Use pure extract for the best taste.
  • 2 cups All-Purpose Flour, sifted Measure properly for best results.
  • 1/2 cup Cocoa Powder, unsweetened Ensure it’s unsweetened and sifted to avoid clumps.
  • 1 teaspoon Baking Soda Check expiration to ensure it’s fresh.
  • 1/4 teaspoon Salt Don’t skip this ingredient!
  • 1 cup Chopped Strawberries, fresh Use fresh, ripe strawberries for the best taste.
  • 1 cup Chocolate Chips Use mini chips for a different texture.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) for even baking.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, cream together the softened butter and granulated sugar until light and fluffy, about 3 minutes.
  3. Beat in the eggs and vanilla extract until fully combined and smooth.
  4. In a separate bowl, whisk together flour, cocoa powder, baking soda, and salt. Gradually add to the butter mixture, stirring until just combined.
  5. Gently fold in the chopped strawberries and chocolate chips, being careful not to break up the strawberries too much.
  6. Scoop tablespoons of dough onto a lined baking sheet, spacing them about 2 inches apart.
  7. Bake for 10-12 minutes until the edges are firm but the centers look slightly soft.
  8. Allow cookies to cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes, then transfer them to a wire rack.

Notes

For serving: Arrange cookies on a decorative plate, serve with whipped cream or vanilla ice cream, and pair with milk or coffee. Customize with nuts, spices, or different types of chocolate.
