Ingredients
  

Brownie Base
  • 1 cup unsalted butter
  • 2 cups sugar
  • 4 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup cocoa powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
Toppings
  • 1 cup fresh strawberries, halved
  • 1 cup chocolate chips (for melting)
  • 1 tablespoon vegetable oil (for chocolate)

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and line a baking pan with parchment paper.
  2. In a saucepan, melt the butter over low heat. Once melted, remove from heat and stir in sugar.
  3. Add eggs, one at a time, mixing well after each addition. Stir in vanilla.
  4. In a bowl, combine flour, cocoa powder, and salt. Gradually add to the wet mixture until just combined.
  5. Fold in half of the strawberries.
  6. Pour the batter into the prepared baking pan and spread evenly.
Baking
  1. Bake for about 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  2. Allow brownies to cool.
Topping
  1. Melt chocolate chips with vegetable oil in a microwave or double boiler.
  2. Dip the remaining strawberries in melted chocolate and place them on top of the brownies.
  3. Drizzle leftover chocolate over the top for decoration.
  4. Let the chocolate set before cutting and serving.

Notes

Enhance flavor by adding a pinch of espresso powder to the brownie batter. Customize by mixing in nuts or different fruits along with the strawberries. Serve warm for a gooey texture or cold for a firmer bite.
