Preparation
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9-inch round cake pan.
- In a bowl, cream together the butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until smooth.
- Beat in the egg and vanilla extract.
Mix Dough
- Combine the flour, baking soda, and salt in a separate bowl, then gradually blend into the creamed mixture.
- Stir in the chocolate chips.
- Press the cookie dough mixture into the bottom of the prepared cake pan to form a crust.
Baking
- Bake for 10-12 minutes, or until golden brown. Allow to cool completely.
Assemble
- Once cooled, layer the cookie dough ice cream on top of the crust.
- Freeze for at least 4 hours or until firm.
- Slice and serve for a delightful dessert.
Notes
Decorate with extra chocolate chips or whipped cream on top. Serve with fresh berries for a fruity touch. This cake can be made ahead of time and stored in the freezer.
