Main Ingredients
  • 1 lb ground beef Ensure it's fresh for the best flavor.
  • 1 can (8 oz) crescent roll dough Can also use puff pastry with adjusted baking time.
  • 1.5 cups shredded cheddar cheese Sharp cheddar recommended for robust flavor.
Aromatics & Vegetables
  • 1/2 cup finely diced yellow onion Sauté with beef for depth of flavor.
  • 2 cloves minced garlic Cook until fragrant.
Seasonings
  • 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • 1 tsp chili powder
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
Optional Finishing Ingredients
  • 1 beaten egg beaten egg for egg wash Creates a golden crust.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. In a skillet over medium heat, brown the ground beef, breaking it apart with a spatula for about 5-7 minutes until no longer pink.
  2. Add the diced onion and minced garlic to the beef and cook for another 3-4 minutes until the onion is translucent.
  3. Stir in Worcestershire sauce, paprika, chili powder, salt, and black pepper. Cook for 1-2 minutes to meld the flavors.
  4. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Unroll the crescent roll dough onto a baking sheet, separating the triangles.
Assembly and Baking
  1. Spoon the beef mixture onto the wider end of each triangle, adding a sprinkle of cheddar cheese. Roll from the wide end to the point and place it seam-side down on the baking sheet.
  2. If desired, brush each roll with a beaten egg for a golden finish.
  3. Bake in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes until golden brown.

Notes

For added flavor, consider including chopped bell peppers. Serve with dipping sauces to enhance experience.
