Preparation
- Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C).
- Pat the chicken thighs dry with paper towels.
- In a bowl, mix avocado oil, kosher salt, black pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, and dried mustard.
- Rub the mixture all over the chicken to ensure each piece is well-coated.
- Place the seasoned chicken thighs snugly in a large baking dish.
Cooking
- Bake the chicken in the preheated oven for 30 minutes.
- After 30 minutes, take the chicken out and brush the BBQ sauce generously over each thigh.
- Return to the oven for an additional 15 minutes.
- Check that the chicken reaches an internal temperature of 165°F (75°C) before serving.
Serving
- Let the chicken rest for about 5 minutes before serving.
