Ingredients
  

For the Hash Browns
  • 1 bag Frozen Hash Browns You can substitute with freshly grated potatoes.
  • 2 tablespoons Olive Oil Can use vegetable oil as a substitute.
  • to taste teaspoon Salt Adjust according to your preference.
  • to taste teaspoon Black Pepper Adjust according to your preference.
For the Eggs and Sauce
  • 4 large Eggs Can substitute with egg whites.
  • 1 cup Prepared Gravy Store-bought is fine; consider béchamel as an alternative.
  • 4 slices Bacon Turkey bacon or tempeh can be used as a substitute.
  • 4 tablespoons Unsalted Butter Melt it for the hollandaise sauce.
  • 3 large Egg Yolks Essential for hollandaise sauce.
  • 1 tablespoon White Wine Vinegar Can substitute with lime juice.
  • 1 tablespoon Lemon Juice Adjust according to taste.
  • 1 teaspoon Dijon Mustard Yellow mustard can be used instead.
  • 1 pinch Cayenne Pepper Omit for a milder flavor.
  • 1/2 teaspoon Garlic Powder For an extra flavor kick.
For Toppings
  • 1 cup Cheddar Cheese, shredded Can substitute with Monterey Jack.
  • 1 cup Mozzarella Cheese, shredded Gouda can be used as an alternative.

Method
 

Cooking the Hash Browns
  1. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
  2. Add frozen hash browns and season with salt and pepper.
  3. Cook for about 8-10 minutes until crispy on one side, then flip.
Preparing the Bacon
  1. In a separate pan, cook the bacon over medium heat until crispy, about 5-7 minutes.
  2. Remove and let drain on paper towels.
Frying the Eggs
  1. In the same skillet used for bacon, crack the eggs and fry them sunny-side up or to desired doneness, about 3-4 minutes.
  2. Transfer to a plate.
Making the Hollandaise Sauce
  1. Whisk egg yolks, white wine vinegar, and lemon juice over a double boiler until thickened, about 2-3 minutes.
  2. Slowly drizzle in melted butter while whisking until thick and creamy.
  3. Stir in Dijon, garlic powder, and cayenne.
Assembling the Poutine
  1. Spoon crispy hash browns onto serving plates.
  2. Top with gravy, crumbled bacon, a fried egg, and hollandaise.
Adding Cheese
  1. Sprinkle shredded cheddar and mozzarella cheese over the top.
  2. Broil for 2-3 minutes until cheese melts and is bubbly.
Serving
  1. Serve hot and enjoy immediately.
