  • 1 lb ground beef Use lean ground beef for a healthier option.
  • 1 can (15 oz) kidney beans, drained and rinsed
  • 1 can (15 oz) black beans, drained and rinsed
  • 1 can (28 oz) diced tomatoes With juice.
  • 1 medium onion, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
Spices
  • 2 tbsp chili powder
  • 1 tsp cumin
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • to taste Salt and pepper

Preparation
  1. In a large pot, heat a splash of olive oil over medium heat. Add chopped onion and minced garlic, sauté until translucent (about 5 minutes).
  2. Add the ground beef to the pot and cook until browned, stirring occasionally (about 7-10 minutes).

  1. Stir in chili powder, cumin, paprika, salt, and pepper. Cook for 2 more minutes to let the spices release their aroma.
  2. Add the diced tomatoes along with their juice, kidney beans, and black beans to the pot. Stir well to combine.
  3. Bring the mixture to a simmer, then reduce the heat to low. Cover and let it cook for 30 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  4. Taste and adjust seasoning if necessary before serving.

Notes
