  • 1.5 pounds ground beef
  • 1 cup BBQ sauce divided for mixing and topping
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese for flavor
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs
  • 0.5 cup chopped onion
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 0.5 teaspoon black pepper

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large bowl, combine the ground beef, 1/2 cup of BBQ sauce, cheddar cheese, breadcrumbs, onion, garlic, egg, salt, and pepper. Mix until well combined.
  3. Transfer the meat mixture to a loaf pan and shape it into a loaf.
  4. Spread the remaining BBQ sauce over the top of the meatloaf.
Cooking
  1. Bake in the preheated oven for about 60-70 minutes, or until the internal temperature reaches 160°F (70°C).
  2. Let it rest for a few minutes before slicing and serving.

Notes

Serve with mashed potatoes or steamed veggies for a complete meal. Enhance flavor by adding favorite herbs like parsley or thyme.
