  • 2 tablespoons olive oil Extra virgin is recommended; melted butter can be an alternative.
  • to taste salt and pepper Season generously.
  • optional fresh herbs for garnish Parsley or cilantro work well.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Pat the chicken thighs dry with paper towels and season both sides generously with salt and pepper.
  3. Sprinkle the ranch seasoning over the chicken, coating it evenly.
Cooking
  1. In a large oven-proof skillet, heat the olive oil over medium-high heat.
  2. Add the chicken, skin-side down, and sear for about 5-7 minutes until the skin is golden brown.
  3. Carefully flip the chicken thighs over and place the skillet in the preheated oven.
  4. Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (75°C).
Finishing Touch
  1. Let the chicken rest for about 5 minutes before serving.
  2. Garnish with fresh herbs before serving.
