Ingredients

  • 6 pieces small boneless skinless chicken thighs Pat them dry before cooking.
Seasoning/Spice Blend

Liquids/Dairy
  • 2 Tbsp salted butter, divided Melt first half before adding garlic.
Aromatics & Vegetables
  • 6 cloves garlic, minced Cook until golden to release fragrance.
Optional Finishing Ingredients
  • 3 Tbsp honey Creates a sweet glaze.
  • 2 Tbsp low sodium soy sauce Adds umami flavor.
  • 1/2 tsp ground thyme Enhances flavor profile.
  • 1/2 tsp ground ginger Adds warmth to the sauce.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Begin by preheating your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Pat the chicken thighs dry and season both sides with salt and black pepper.
Cooking
  1. In an oven-safe pan, melt 1 tablespoon of butter over medium heat.
  2. Add the chicken thighs and sear for about 5 minutes on each side until browned.
  3. Remove the chicken and set aside, then add the remaining butter and minced garlic to the pan.
  4. Sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant, then quickly add honey, soy sauce, thyme, and ginger, stirring to combine.
  5. Return the chicken to the pan, ensuring it’s coated in the sauce, and then bake for 25-30 minutes or until the chicken reaches an internal temperature of 165°F (74°C).
  6. Broil the chicken for an additional 2-3 minutes to caramelize the glaze.
Serving
  1. Let the chicken rest for a few minutes before serving, topped with extra sauce.

Notes

Enhance flavor by marinating chicken in the sauce for a few hours. Customize by adding your favorite vegetables to the pan before baking.
