Preparation
- Begin by preheating your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Pat the chicken thighs dry and season both sides with salt and black pepper.
Cooking
- In an oven-safe pan, melt 1 tablespoon of butter over medium heat.
- Add the chicken thighs and sear for about 5 minutes on each side until browned.
- Remove the chicken and set aside, then add the remaining butter and minced garlic to the pan.
- Sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant, then quickly add honey, soy sauce, thyme, and ginger, stirring to combine.
- Return the chicken to the pan, ensuring it’s coated in the sauce, and then bake for 25-30 minutes or until the chicken reaches an internal temperature of 165°F (74°C).
- Broil the chicken for an additional 2-3 minutes to caramelize the glaze.
Serving
- Let the chicken rest for a few minutes before serving, topped with extra sauce.
Notes
Enhance flavor by marinating chicken in the sauce for a few hours. Customize by adding your favorite vegetables to the pan before baking.
