  • 1 pound chicken tenders Fresh or thawed
  • 8 slices bacon Regular or turkey bacon can be used
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar For coating
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil For searing

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine brown sugar, garlic powder, black pepper, and salt.
  3. Wrap each chicken tender with a slice of bacon and secure it with a toothpick if needed.
  4. Roll the bacon-wrapped tenders in the brown sugar mixture until fully coated.
Cooking
  1. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat and sear the tenders for 2-3 minutes on each side until the bacon is crispy.
  2. Transfer the seared tenders to a baking dish and bake in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes until the chicken is cooked through.
  3. Serve warm and enjoy!

Notes

Add a pinch of cayenne pepper for a spicy kick. Try using turkey bacon for a lighter option.
