Preparation
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a baking dish with olive oil.
- In a large bowl, combine shredded chicken, rice, cream of chicken soup, chicken broth, sour cream, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper. Stir well to mix all ingredients thoroughly.
- Pour the mixture into the greased baking dish and spread it evenly.
Cooking
- Sprinkle the shredded cheese generously over the top of the mixture.
- Add a light layer of breadcrumbs over the cheese if using.
- Place the baking dish in the preheated oven and bake for 45 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and golden brown.
Serving
- Once done, remove the casserole from the oven and let it cool for a few minutes before serving.
Notes
For an extra flavor boost, add cooked bacon or sautéed mushrooms, or customize it with your favorite vegetables.
