Preparation
- Wash and peel the russet potatoes. Cut them into even-sized fries.
- Soak the cut fries in cold water for at least 30 minutes to remove excess starch. Drain and pat them dry.
Cooking
- In a large bowl, toss the fries with olive oil, minced garlic, salt, and black pepper.
- Preheat the air fryer to 380°F (190°C). Place the fries in a single layer and cook for about 15-20 minutes, shaking halfway.
- In the last few minutes of cooking, sprinkle the Parmesan cheese over the fries and return to the fryer until melted and golden.
Serving
- Remove the fries and top with fresh parsley if desired. Serve immediately!
Notes
Store cooked fries in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. For best results, freeze uncooked fries spread out on a baking sheet, then transfer to a bag. They last for about 2-3 months.
