Ingredients
  

For the fries
  • 4 large russet potatoes Fresh russet potatoes for best flavor.
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil For tossing the fries.
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced Fresh garlic enhances the flavor.
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese Add in the last few minutes of cooking.
  • 1 teaspoon salt For seasoning.
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper Freshly ground for a better taste.
  • 1 tablespoon chopped fresh parsley Optional garnish for serving.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Wash and peel the russet potatoes. Cut them into even-sized fries.
  2. Soak the cut fries in cold water for at least 30 minutes to remove excess starch. Drain and pat them dry.
Cooking
  1. In a large bowl, toss the fries with olive oil, minced garlic, salt, and black pepper.
  2. Preheat the air fryer to 380°F (190°C). Place the fries in a single layer and cook for about 15-20 minutes, shaking halfway.
  3. In the last few minutes of cooking, sprinkle the Parmesan cheese over the fries and return to the fryer until melted and golden.
Serving
  1. Remove the fries and top with fresh parsley if desired. Serve immediately!

Notes

Store cooked fries in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. For best results, freeze uncooked fries spread out on a baking sheet, then transfer to a bag. They last for about 2-3 months.
